Comrade Tijjani Kabiru Mohammed has led a delegation from the 19 Northern states to express strong support for the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin. Speaking at a gathering, he commended Senator Barau’s leadership and impact, describing him as “the Sardauna of our era.”
“Senator Barau has done exceptionally well. His contribution, particularly with the bill on the North West Development Commission (NWDC), stands out,” Comrade Tijjani said. “If the challenges of the North West are addressed, it will significantly ease the problems facing our entire country.”
He also condemned recent criticisms against the Deputy Senate President, calling such actions harmful to progress. “Those attacking Senator Barau are enemies of the North, enemies of Nigeria, and enemies of progress. They must stop,” he said firmly.
Comrade Tijjani clarified that the group supports reforms that promote development, including tax reforms and other initiatives that can drive regional and national growth. He urged the federal government to remain steadfast in addressing the country’s challenges.
“We pray Mr. President continues his good work. The President of the Senate and Senator Barau must keep collaborating to provide the necessary legislation to move Nigeria forward,” he concluded.
