Actress Dakore Denies Being Senate President Akpabio’s Mistress

Must Read

Nollywood actress Dakore Egbuson-Akande has strongly refuted recent allegations linking her romantically to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, threatening legal action against those responsible for the claims.

The controversy began when Gistlover, a well-known and often controversial blogger, published a list of alleged mistresses of Senate President Akpabio. Among the names listed were prominent figures such as Nancy Isime, Hilda Baci, Ini Edo, and notably, Dakore Egbuson-Akande. The inclusion of Dakore’s name in this scandalous list has sparked outrage and disbelief.

In response to these damaging allegations, Dakore took to her Instagram page to address the issue directly. With clear frustration and indignation, she vehemently denied ever having any personal or professional interaction with Akpabio. Dakore made it clear that the claims were entirely false and baseless, aimed solely at damaging her reputation.

The actress shared her reaction in a video posted online, expressing her dismay and anger over the allegations. “I started getting calls and text messages this morning alerting me to a very wicked lie from the pit of hell. I must say I am very disappointed, shocked, and appalled. I want to categorically state that I’ve never ever in my life met the Senate President,” Dakore said, underscoring the severity of her response to the rumors.

Dakore went on to elaborate on her personal situation, emphasizing her commitment to her family. “I have not had any cause to see him or to be in the same room with him, not to talk of being one of his side chicks. I’m married, happily married, and I have two beautiful children,” she continued. This personal disclosure was aimed at reinforcing her stance and clarifying her position in the face of the false accusations.

The actress expressed her anger at what she perceived as a deliberate attempt to malign her character. She criticized the blogger behind the allegations for their role in spreading what she described as harmful misinformation. “For a jobless wicked blogger to put my name amongst women who have been with this man is totally wicked and totally unfounded! It is a lie from the pit of hell and I am ready for any legal action because this time you have messed with the wrong person!” Dakore declared, signaling her readiness to confront the issue legally.

In addition to her denial, Dakore took an unusual step to challenge the credibility of the accusations. She offered a substantial reward for anyone who could provide concrete evidence supporting the allegations. “Anybody who can say I have been with this man, that you have video or audio evidence, I will give you N5 million right now! I am not joking! I am very serious because I have worked too hard for my name and my reputation,” Dakore stated, emphasizing her commitment to defending her honor and reputation.

The threat of legal action and the offer of a reward for evidence reflect Dakore’s determination to clear her name and address the scandal head-on. The case has garnered significant media attention, with many observing how the actress navigates this controversy. The situation highlights the broader issue of how false allegations can affect public figures and the lengths to which individuals must go to protect their reputations in the digital age.

As the story develops, it remains to be seen how this issue will be resolved and whether legal proceedings will follow. Dakore Egbuson-Akande’s response underscores the importance of addressing such allegations with both personal and legal measures to safeguard one’s public image and personal integrity.
